We’re all about fitness

Sport’s in our name, and sport’s in our game – golf and tennis are the top items we have to offer for an active holiday, or to round off a hard day’s work for our business guests. We’ll also be opening our spacious sauna facility in the autumn of 2016.

The region around Ankum is a haven for golf enthusiasts looking for quality and variety with no less than seven golf courses within three-quarters of an hour by car.

Our local partner club in Ankum

We’d especially like to recommend Artland Golfclub eV, which is only about 6 km away from the Ankum lakeside sports hotel.

The course is located inside the Artland natural reserve surrounded by picturesque forests and expansive fields. The wide fairways meld harmoniously into the surrounding landscape, with individual sections reminiscent of English parklands with a touch of the Scottish links.

Go horse-riding, or just enjoy watching the show

Right next to the lakeside sports hotel, you will find the large, newly built equestrian centre belonging to horse legend Paul Schockemöhle and the pope of dressage, Ullrich Kasselmann. Horse auctions as well as European championship events and world-class competitions take place several times a year in stadium-like surroundings.

We can also arrange a number of nearby partner riding stables with riding programmes and qualified riding lessons to match any level for active horse riders.
